Where education and method are integrated for a holistic treatment
I start every day going for a short, early morning walk with my adored, senior dog, after which we unwind in the front yard, taking in the morning sun and listening to the birds. I use this quiet time to stretch head-to-toe, clear my mind, balance my Qi and be grateful.
When I am not working or studying, I enjoy taking care of my small garden, exploring the many benefits my plants can provide for myself and my family, being outdoors and finding reasons to laugh.
Although I was born and raised on Long Island, NY, North Carolina has been a part of my life since 1998.
I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2011, and prior to that I worked in the office world for over 12 years, so I understand the importance of clear communication, professionalism and building respectful client relationships.
Before the client and I can co-create a holistic treatment plan,
I first must consider all factors potentially playing a role;
musculoskeletal
connective tissue (tendons, ligaments, fascia)
functional vs. structural
central nervous system
peripheral nervous system
trigger points and their pain patterns
referred pain areas of organs
the health history of the client
all implanted devices
medications
circulatory system
lymphatic system
visceral health and mobility
ADL (activities of daily living)
